About The Position

The Clinical Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a program of substance abuse treatment services in conjunction with the Regional Program Director. This role involves supervising the implementation and delivery of clinical and case management services and integration of clinical services within the designated sites, services, and modalities. The Director ensures that treatment services are delivered in accordance with evidence-based practices, licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements, as well as Spectrum’s clinical design. They are responsible for fostering an atmosphere of customer service and excellence in service delivery, and ensuring the clinical staff is highly trained and proficient. The position requires working the hours necessary to meet business needs, potentially exceeding 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Counseling, mental health, social work, or a closely related field.
  • Licensed Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor or a closely related license in the fields of addiction or mental health.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a substance abuse, mental health, or other related behavioral health program.
  • Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
  • Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff, and regulatory agencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in counseling.
  • Experience working with DPH licensing requirements, CARF standards, MBHP regulations, or other related requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
