About The Position

Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University seeks a dynamic individual to serve as a Clinical Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship in a non-tenure position. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Organizational Behavior, Negotiations, Leadership, and related topics. The candidate will also contribute service to the school and university community, with optional opportunities to engage in research and participate in research seminars. Requirements

  • Doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited institution with expertise in Strategy, Management, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Behavioral Economics, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Psychology, or related fields is preferred.
  • Candidates without a doctoral degree are encouraged to apply if they are currently pursuing a doctoral degree in one of the listed fields.
  • Candidates without a doctoral degree are encouraged to apply if they possess a master’s degree in a related field along with at least five years of professional industry experience.
  • Candidates without a doctoral degree are encouraged to apply if they hold a master’s degree in a related field and have a minimum of two years of prior college-level teaching experience, with strong teaching evaluation scores preferred.
  • Demonstrate a record of publications and/or an active research agenda.
  • JD degree may also be considered.
  • Strong connections with industry.
  • Public speaking and teaching experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work within a research-oriented academic community.
  • Promote the use of emerging technologies, including AI, in the classroom.

  • Preference may be given to candidates who have a record of publications or maintain an active research agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Organizational Behavior, Negotiations, Leadership, and related topics.
  • Teach three undergraduate courses in-person twice per week.
  • May hold administrative responsibilities, including serving as Chair of the Department, as assigned.
  • Conduct research (optional).
  • Participate in school research seminars (optional).
  • Provide service to the school, university, and broader community through participation in institutional events and activities.
  • Design undergraduate courses in collaboration with the Department Chair.
  • Conduct independent research.
  • Acknowledge affiliation with Yeshiva University in scholarly research.
  • Collaborate on research projects with YU faculty and students.
  • Participate in departmental and university events.
