Under the direction of the Director of Operations, with matrix reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Clinical Practice Manager is responsible for the management of operations and clinical practice. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment and retention, supply chain and budget, financial management, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, Lean initiatives, staff education, and internal and external regulatory and survey requirements. The role collaborates with multiple professionals to support and coordinate the provision/management of patient-centered care. The Clinical Practice Manager works closely with the Medical Director and staff to ensure the practice maintains the highest standards of patient care and is responsive to the needs of the patient, family, and the organization. The position maintains professionalism and strict confidentiality and operates within the policies and procedures of Central Vermont Medical Center. As the leader of the practice, the Clinical Practice Manager has the ability to create and empower teams to embrace and implement change that will improve the clinical, operational, and financial performance of the practice. The position is responsible for the physical practice location 24/7.
