About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical and quality programs of the pharmacy, including the personnel involved in these programs. This role involves coordinating, supervising, and evaluating the job performance of Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Residents, including hiring and termination decisions. The manager also coordinates and prepares interdisciplinary committee and subcommittee activities and reports, and may be involved with System interdisciplinary committees. Responsibilities include coordinating the publication of the entity-based Pharmacy Newsletter, meeting with pharmaceutical representatives, and attending/serving on hospital committees. The manager works with pharmacy leadership to complete needed pharmacy services, oversees Medication Error Reporting and Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting Programs, and oversees the development and implementation of clinical education for all pharmacists. Additionally, this role oversees the development and maintenance of pharmacy policies and procedures, represents pharmacy in hospital-wide policy development, and works with the director to maintain compliance with DNV standards. The position may require taking administrative call for the pharmacy.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited ACPE school of pharmacy Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy Required
  • 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience Required
  • Licensed as a registered pharmacist in State of Georgia Required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Pharmacy Preferred
  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties certification Preferred
  • PGY1 Residency Preferred

Responsibilities
