About The Position

This role is for a Clinical Pharmacist in Acute Care Medicine at Texas Health Fort Worth, an 851-bed, Magnet-designated hospital serving the Fort Worth community since 1930. The hospital offers advanced care in various specialties and is recognized for its high-acuity capabilities and commitment to training future physicians. The Clinical Pharmacist will be part of a diverse and inclusive team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care and will contribute to the hospital's mission to improve community health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required
  • Other Pharm D. Required
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
  • PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of hospital experience or residency preferred.
  • Highly preferred PGY1 residency completion (or equivalence)
  • Experience working in an inpatient acute care setting is highly preferred.
  • IV certification highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
  • Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
  • Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation.
  • Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
  • Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
  • Other duties as assigned.
