The Role As a Clinical Pharmacist supporting acute and inpatient services, you will step into a dynamic clinical environment where flexibility, judgment, and strong foundational knowledge are critical. In this role, you can expect to: Provide direct clinical pharmacy services to hospitalized patients across multiple inpatient areas Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, offering medication related recommendations that support safety, efficacy, and individualized care Review, verify, and manage complex medication regimens in alignment with evidence based standards Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to optimize therapeutic plans Support medication safety initiatives, stewardship efforts, and quality improvement activities Adjust seamlessly to different unit workflows while maintaining consistent clinical standards Serve as a trusted resource for medication education and clinical consultation An average day blends focused patient specific decision making with real‑time collaboration. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen. The pay range for this role is $64.37 - $89.07 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required.
- PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years).
- Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. License required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.
