About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd, Pharmacy Services is seeking a Full-Time Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Critical Care. This role is responsible for ensuring the optimal safe and effective use of medications for all patients through advanced technology and innovative application of skilled personnel. The goal is to improve clinical outcomes and community health in a value-based environment. The position involves providing pharmaceutical care to support antimicrobial stewardship for patients in Critical Care, optimizing medication therapies, drug preparation and distribution, evaluating and inputting medication orders, serving as a drug information resource, and managing pharmacy inventory.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a minimum of a BS in Pharmacy
- Indiana Pharmacist Registration
Nice To Haves
- PharmD (Preferred)
- Hospital experience and completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency (Preferred)
- Board Certification in Critical Care or equivalent (Preferred)
- ACLS Certification (Will Provide)
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care to support antimicrobial stewardship for Baptist Health Floyd patients in Critical Care including optimizing medication therapies
- Drug preparation and distribution for medications at Baptist Health Floyd
- Evaluate, input, and verify new medication orders
- Assist providers and other healthcare professions by serving as a drug information resource
- Manage Pharmacy inventory
