Provides pastoral support to patients, families, and staff in the hospital setting to ensure the religious, spiritual, emotional, and relational needs are provided for according to the goals and mission of PHHS. Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/ patient valued behaviors.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of PHHS decedent care and advance directives procedures within two months of employment.
  • Must he able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in meeting age related and handicapped patient's needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate level theological education, completed or in process, or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education training.
