Requirements

  • Certification specializing in Cert of Endorsement preferred.
  • Chaplain preferred.
  • Master's degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited school is required.
  • 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE is required.

Responsibilities

  • Design curriculum by developing Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs that meet national accreditation standards while preparing the next generation of spiritual care providers.
  • Mentor aspiring residents through direct educational supervision, ensuring they deliver compassionate and culturally sensitive spiritual care to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with clinical faculty to lead the strategic planning and administration of the training program, fostering a cohesive learning environment for all participants.
  • Facilitate spiritual wellness by conducting public worship services and outreach, modeling expert pastoral care for students while meeting the diverse faith needs of our community.
  • Champion educational excellence by maintaining rigorous compliance with ACPE standards, ensuring our program remains a benchmark for clinical pastoral training.
