Clinical Nursing Adjunct (Fall 2026)
About The Position
Germanna Community College is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach Clinical Nursing courses. This role involves planning and teaching courses to students with diverse academic backgrounds. The position requires teaching both in-person and online, with a teaching load of up to 12 credit hours per semester (fall/spring) or up to 8 credit hours during the summer session. Teaching load is contingent on student enrollment and staffing needs. The adjunct faculty contract does not guarantee continued employment. This position is located in Virginia and requires the candidate to reside within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities
- Effectively plan and teach courses in the designated discipline/field of study.
- Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
- Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
- Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of GCC and the VCCS.
- Maintain current competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization.
- Meet assigned classes regularly.
- Submit required records and reports routinely.
- Teach the prescribed courses of study with the established texts.
- Adhere to the statement on professional ethics in accordance with College policies, procedures, and regulations.
