About The Position

Maine Medical Center is hiring a Clinical Nurse II for its R6/IMC/Bean 2 units. R6 is a 24-bed neurosurgical and trauma unit with an embedded 9-bed neuro-focused Intermediate Care Unit (IMC); Bean 2 is a 12-bed Total Joint Center. The role provides care to adults and older adolescents with neurological and orthopedic conditions, including closed head injuries, strokes, brain tumors, seizure disorders, multi-traumas, conditions requiring neurosurgical intervention, and joint replacement recovery. IMC care may involve patients with multisystem issues requiring telemetry, intracranial pressure monitoring, medication drips, frequent interventions, or other higher-acuity care. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care in accordance with professional standards and Maine Medical Center policies and Maine State Board of Nursing requirements. Care coordination may span the continuum of care.
