About The Position

Franciscan Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide skilled, compassionate nursing care while developing innovative solutions and applying research to practical care. The role uses evidence-based information to support clinical decisions and continuously improve surgical care. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and salary-based. Travel is required. Franciscan Health is a Catholic health care system with 11 ministries and access points across Indiana. Requirements

Master's degree in a clinical-focus program as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
Three years of experience in the clinical area of expertise.
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association, required within 90 days.
Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the unit.
Post-master's degree Certified Nurse Specialist certificate if the MSN was not focused on application of the CNS role.

Responsibilities

Lead the conduct and utilization of nursing research, evidence-based practice, and process improvement.
Develop, pilot, evaluate, and incorporate innovative models of practice.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate the nursing perspective into a comprehensive plan of care.
Collaborate with Clinical Educators on the content and operational design of orientation, clinical competency, and other clinical education development.
