About The Position

The Clinical Nurse Manager directs, plans, and coordinates service activities and staffing performance for professional and auxiliary nursing personnel to support quality patient care. The position may also provide direct patient care. The role oversees staff onboarding, training, and education; provides ongoing coaching and performance feedback; supports a safe and positive environment for patients, visitors, and staff; coordinates unit activities with other hospital departments; and develops and implements staffing plans. This is an onsite, day-shift position at Longwood Surgicenter, located at 800 Huntington Avenue, with 40 scheduled hours per week. The position is listed as fixed term.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Registered Nurse (RN) state license required.
Two to three years of nursing experience required.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong commitment to clinical excellence.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Knowledge of care requirements for the age groups served.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
One to two years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
