About The Position

The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities for the clinical and radiology portion of the organization, as well as developing the organization's clinical departments through tasks such as standard practices, hiring, evaluating and scheduling. The Clinical Manager is also entrusted to manage various interdepartmental operations to ensure the efficiency of the clinics and patient satisfaction necessary for the group to function.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the clinical portion of the practice.
  • Ability to work with physicians, staff, and vendors for optimal performance.
  • Leadership and availability for clinical staff issue resolution.
  • Experience in general management of clinical staff.
  • Experience in developing and implementing operating policies and procedures, training protocols, and staff education.
  • Experience working with Human Resources in recruitment and hiring.
  • Experience in onboarding new employees, including training and performance evaluation.
  • Ability to collect time off requests, monitor attendance, and coordinate staffing coverage.
  • Ability to conceptualize workflow, develop plans, evaluate workloads, and implement actions for efficiency and quality.
  • Ability to motivate employees and provide leadership/management/support.
  • Experience in performance management, including evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Ability to work with physicians and administrative teams.
  • Experience working with departments responsible for clinical supply ordering.
  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations (local, state, OSHA federal).
  • Ability to perform functions of a Medical Assistant or Nurse (assisting in patient examinations/treatments).
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Developing the organization's clinical departments through standard practices, hiring, evaluating and scheduling.
  • Managing various interdepartmental operations to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Providing leadership and availability for clinical staff issue identification and resolution.
  • Serving as the point of contact for patients regarding clinical operational issues.
  • General management of clinical staff and providing constructive feedback.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures, training protocols, and staff education.
  • Working with Human Resources in recruitment and hiring of employees.
  • Onboarding new employees, including introduction, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Collecting time off requests, monitoring attendance, and coordinating staffing coverage.
  • Conceptualizing workflow, developing plans, evaluating workloads, and implementing actions to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Motivating employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  • Conducting monthly/quarterly department meetings.
  • Participating in administrative activities and presenting requested information.
  • Performance management of all assigned staff, including evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Working with physicians and administrative team to ensure organizational needs are met.
  • Working with departments responsible for clinical supply ordering to maintain levels and optimize cost savings.
  • Ensuring the safety and health of the work environment in accordance with regulations.
  • Potentially performing functions of a Medical Assistant or Nurse, assisting in patient examinations and treatments under physician direction.
  • Conducting oneself in a manner that reflects a positive representation of the company.
  • Observing strict patient confidentiality and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Performing special projects and other assigned duties.
