About The Position
The Unit of Student Affairs is seeking a part-time Clinical Laboratory Director to oversee the student health center clinical laboratory. The role is responsible for overall laboratory operations and administration, regulatory compliance, the quality of testing services across pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases, and ensuring that personnel meet required qualifications and competency standards.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in medicine.
- Medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Certification in anatomic or clinical pathology.
- At least 2 years directing a high-complexity laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations, including CLIA.
- Oversee the overall operations and administration of the student health center clinical laboratory.
- Ensure testing systems used for each laboratory test provide quality services across pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases.
- Ensure laboratory personnel meet the qualifications required for testing and meet competency standards.
