About The Position

Curana Health is seeking a mission-driven Physician to provide high-quality, person-centered care in skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities. The physician completes histories and physicals for new patients, conducts routine rounds at least weekly, partners with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on regulatory and complex visits, and mentors APPs. The role also involves addressing quality gaps, advocating for residents, and representing Curana Health’s mission in the communities served. The position offers part-time or full-time schedules, with flexibility to structure clinical time, rounding, and patient flow. Physicians receive clinical and administrative support, structured onboarding and ongoing training, assistance with charting and value-based care, and data-driven tools including AI insights, communication platforms, and EMR integrations. The role may include travel to and from assigned facilities. A driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record may be required in the future depending on travel needs, with 30 days’ notice.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Hospital Medicine.
Current unrestricted medical license in the state of employment.
Active DEA license.
Proficiency with EMR systems.
Compassionate, motivated, and a strong collaborator.
Travel to and from one or more assigned facilities is required.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care by completing histories and physicals for new patients.
Conduct routine patient rounding at least once per week.
Partner with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to manage regulatory and complex patient visits while ensuring compliance and clinical excellence.
Oversee, mentor, and support APP performance to improve care delivery.
Address quality gaps when prompted and drive improvements in patient outcomes.
Advocate for patients and champion what matters most to them.
Represent Curana Health’s mission and values as a clinical leader and ambassador in assigned communities.
