About The Position

Curana Health is seeking a mission-driven Physician to provide high-quality, person-centered care in skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities. The physician completes new-patient histories and physicals and conducts routine rounds at least once per week. They partner with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on regulatory and complex visits, oversee and mentor APPs, address quality gaps, advocate for patients, and represent Curana Health’s mission in the communities they serve. The role offers clinical autonomy and flexibility in structuring schedules, rounding, and patient flow. Curana provides onboarding, ongoing training, responsive support teams, assistance with charting and value-based care, and data-driven tools including AI-powered insights, communication platforms, and modern EMR integrations. Full-time or part-time schedules are available. The position requires travel to and from assigned facilities. Depending on the travel required, Curana may later require a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record, with 30 days’ notice; periodic motor vehicle record checks may then be conducted.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Hospital Medicine.
Current unrestricted medical license in the state of employment.
Active DEA license.
Proficiency with EMR systems.
Compassionate, motivated, and a strong collaborator.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care by completing histories and physicals for new patients and conducting routine rounds at least once per week.
Partner with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to manage regulatory and complex patient visits while ensuring compliance and clinical excellence.
Oversee APP performance and mentor and support APPs to elevate care delivery.
Close quality gaps when prompted to improve patient outcomes.
Advocate for patients and champion what matters most to them.
Represent Curana Health’s mission and values as a clinical leader and ambassador in the communities served.
Travel to and from one or more assigned facilities.
