About The Position
Join NRHS’s growing, team-oriented, community-focused Laboratory. This high-paced, high-volume laboratory uses state-of-the-art equipment and offers opportunities for advancement and leadership growth. The Clinical Lab Scientist 4 maintains instrumentation and the work area, performs quality control and calibration functions, provides training and assesses competencies, completes testing within established time frames, and recognizes and addresses departmental issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.
- Four years of laboratory experience as an MLT/HT (internal CLS2), or two years of laboratory experience as a MT/HTL (internal CLS3); equivalent combinations of education and experience may meet these requirements.
- Registered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Technologist or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation and work area.
- Maintain quality control and calibration functions.
- Provide training and assess competencies.
- Complete testing within established time frames.
- Recognize and address issues within the department.
