About The Position
The Clinical Lab Scientist 4 (CLS/MT) works in the Microbiology department of a high-paced, high-volume laboratory. The role maintains instrumentation and work areas, performs quality control and calibration functions, and completes testing within established time frames. It also includes training staff, assessing competencies, and recognizing and addressing departmental issues. The position is PRN and works an evening shift, with evening/night scheduling indicated.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.
- Four years of laboratory experience as an MLT/HT (internal CLS2), or two years of laboratory experience as an MT/HTL (internal CLS3); equivalent combinations of education and experience may meet these requirements.
- Registered with ASCP, or eligible for registry, as a Medical Technologist or equivalent.
