About The Position

Kramer School of Nursing invites applications for one nine-month, clinical instructor or assistant professor of nursing position beginning in fall 2026. The rank will depend upon the qualifications of the finalists.

Requirements

Active, unencumbered Oklahoma RN license or multi-state compact required
MSN required, terminal degree preferred.
At least two (2) years of nursing practice experience required.

Nice To Haves

Clinical and teaching experience are preferred, but related professional credentials will be considered.

Responsibilities

Prepare and conduct courses in conformity with objectives of the university, Kramer School of Nursing, and approving accrediting agencies.
Evaluate student learning, skills, and abilities; and maintain records of such evaluations.
Engage in scholarship that supports Kramer School of Nursing’s mission.
Serve as a resource person in areas of expertise and to other faculty and personnel of the community.
Act as advisor to nursing students for the promotion of excellence in academic and clinical practice.
Serve the university and the Kramer School of Nursing, including committee work as appropriate.
Adhere to all policies within the Oklahoma City University Faculty Handbook and the KSN Employee Handbook.
Participate in university activities and professional organizations as a member.
Participate in the school’s assessment program and in student recruiting and retention efforts for the school and the university.
Additional compensation is provided for optional summer teaching assignments.
Other duties as assigned.
