About The Position

The School of Nursing is seeking a full-time, Muncie campus-based non-tenure line faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses. The specific title of Assistant Clinical Lecturer of Nursing or Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing and the salary will be dependent on the candidate's qualifications. This is not an online position. Candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Earned baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Earned master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by date of appointment.
  • Clinical nursing experience in area of assigned teaching.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to learn and use new technologies, software, and platforms.
  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States, with Indiana RN license (or endorsement) obtained by date of appointment.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 4 months (one semester) of teaching experience in higher education, either gained concurrently or at any time.
  • Ability to integrate technology in nursing education.
  • Current clinical practice as an NP and national board certification.
  • Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

  • Teach online graduate nursing courses and/or undergraduate nursing courses.
  • Undergraduate assignments may include classroom, simulation, laboratory-based, and/or clinical supervision/instruction.
  • Student advisement on academic progress and related activities.
  • Contribute to the missions of the School of Nursing, College of Health, and University.
  • Incorporate current evidence-based research into classroom and clinical teaching.
  • Engage in professional development.
  • Serve on appointed School, College and /or University committees.
