The University of Virginia School of Nursing is seeking applications for non-tenure-track, Clinical Instructor faculty wage positions. These roles are for Registered Nurses (RNs) with clinical experience in specialty areas such as pediatrics, obstetrics, psychiatric-mental health, community/public health, and general medical or surgical specialties. The responsibilities include directly supervising nursing students in clinical practice settings and potentially the Clinical Simulation Learning Center (CSLC), as well as evaluating their written work. A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field is required, along with a strong commitment to teaching and mentorship. Applicants must be eligible for RN licensure in Virginia where applicable. For teaching in the APRN program, applicants need eligibility for Virginia nurse practitioner licensure, prescriptive authority, and national certification. Two years of clinical nursing experience is mandatory. Teaching experience is preferred. Positions will be filled continuously based on curriculum needs and will remain open until filled.
