About The Position

Progressive Community Health Centers is seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst in Milwaukee, WI. This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule, offering no late nights, holidays, or weekends. Founded in 1999, Progressive Community Health Centers is an independent non-profit organization with four clinic locations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With over 100 employees, our mission is to improve the health and quality of life of the community by providing culturally competent services. We serve approximately 16,000 patients annually, with a focus on low-income individuals, and never turn anyone away based on insurance or ability to pay. Our services include family medicine, internal medicine, women's health, urgent care, dental, radiology, and integrated behavioral health, along with supportive services like case management, health education, and benefits enrollment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration/Operations, Business, Communications, or related field; OR 3–5 years of related experience.
  • 2+ years in a clinical or clinical‑operations environment (FQHC/CHC preferred).
  • All hired candidates must submit proof of vaccination prior to their orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epic/OCHIN projects.
  • Experience with Visio/Lucidchart.
  • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Community Health Center (CHC) environment.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit and document end‑to‑end workflows (registration → eligibility/RTE → rooming → clinical documentation → checkout → billing/denials).
  • Build process maps (Visio/Lucidchart), SOPs, and RACI; identify policy impacts (consent, downtime, role‑based access).
  • Define best practices for Epic usage and discrete data capture to support UDS, care gaps, and revenue integrity.
  • Partner with QI to ensure workflows align with clinical standards and operational goals.
  • Maintain project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risks; drive cross‑functional delivery.
  • Facilitate status communications; ensure stakeholders understand roles/responsibilities.
  • Maintain meeting notes, decision trackers, issue/risk logs, and task lists; escalate blockers early.
  • Develop tailored training curricula (plans, materials) for OCHIN Epic; keep materials current to workflows.
