Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Nursing, Business, Systems, or related field or Five (5) years healthcare financial or clinical experience
  • Two (2) years healthcare financial, clinical systems, or training experience (with B.S. Degree)
  • Experience with EMR systems (Cerner preferred; Ambulatory a plus)
  • Knowledge of clinical and front-office workflows
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with implementations, optimization, or clinical informatics work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DCWs and build/design documentation
  • Proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, OneNote, and project trackers

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, designing, and optimizing clinical and operational workflows within the EMR.
  • Serving as a liaison between clinical users, operations leadership, and IT team, ensuring workflows are efficient, standardized, and aligned with patient and organizational goals.
  • Evaluating current-state workflows by conducting onsite interviews, direct observations, and data reviews to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translating insights and findings into optimized future-state workflow designs that support clinical effectiveness, operational efficiency, and system usability.
  • Identifying and evaluating optimization opportunities, new system functionality, and build requests to enhance EMR performance and the end-user experience.
  • Documenting workflows, workflow analysis, providing demos, supporting system configuration, and conducting testing and validations to ensure accuracy and readiness for go-live.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support implementation and ongoing optimization efforts.
