Clinical Exercise Specialist - PRN
About The Position
Sentara Therapy Center Princess Anne is hiring a Clinical Exercise Specialist for Outpatient PRN/Flexi. The Clinical Exercise Specialist administers therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed leader. They provide quality exercise and health education for patients, ensuring a safe, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. The role requires productivity and efficiency in daily operations, establishing and updating exercise programs to address client/participant needs, and supervising/assisting clients/participants with their daily exercise sessions while ensuring safety. The specialist will provide effective instruction to clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training, support the health education needs of the center, and assist Therapists/Providers in delivering effective treatment plans. Documentation of patient response to treatment and other clinical duties as assigned are also part of the role. The position also involves demonstrating the ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Recreational Therapy, Physical Education, or Clinical Exercise Physiology.
- 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
Responsibilities

- Establishes and updates the exercise program to address the Client/participant's needs.
- Supervises and assists clients/participants with their daily exercise sessions, ensuring client/participant safety.
- Provides effective instruction to Clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
- Supports the health education needs of the center.
- Supports Therapist(s)/Providers in providing effective treatment plans.
- Documents patient response to treatment.
- Completes other clinical duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.
