Clinical Exercise Specialist
About The Position
The Clinical Exercise Specialist administers therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed leader. They provide quality exercise and health education for patients, ensuring a safe, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. The role involves being productive and efficient in daily operations, establishing and updating exercise programs to meet client/participant needs, and supervising/assisting clients/participants with daily exercise sessions while ensuring their safety. Additionally, the specialist provides effective instruction to clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training, supports the health education needs of the center, and assists therapists/providers in delivering effective treatment plans. Documentation of patient response to treatment is required, along with completing other clinical duties as assigned and demonstrating the ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Recreational Therapy, Physical Education, or Clinical Exercise Physiology.
- 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

- Supports the health education needs of the center.
- Supports Therapist(s)/Providers in providing effective treatment plans.
- Documents patient response to treatment.
- Completes other clinical duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.
