Clinical Exercise Specialist - PRN
About The Position
Sentara Therapy Center Princess Anne is hiring a Clinical Exercise Specialist for Outpatient PRN/Flexi. The Clinical Exercise Specialist administers therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed leader. They provide quality exercise and health education for patients, assuring a safe, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. The role requires productivity and efficiency in daily operations. The specialist establishes and updates exercise programs to address client/participant needs, supervises and assists clients/participants with their daily exercise sessions, ensuring safety, and provides effective instruction to clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. The position also supports the health education needs of the center, supports therapists/providers in providing effective treatment plans, and documents patient response to treatment. Other clinical duties as assigned are expected, demonstrating the ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Recreational Therapy, Physical Education, or Clinical Exercise Physiology.
- 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

- Supports the health education needs of the center.
- Supports Therapist(s)/Providers in providing effective treatment plans.
- Documents patient response to treatment.
- Completes other clinical duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.
