About The Position
The Clinical RN Educator is a registered nurse responsible for providing education in clinical and patient-care services to support the hospital’s objectives, mission, and values. The role connects clinical practice with education and helps staff stay current with best practices, policies, and procedures. The position is full-time, day shift, at Dallas Medical Center in Farmers Branch, Texas, with hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Minimum of 5 years of acute care experience.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years of previous educational experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver orientation programs for new clinical staff.
- Provide ongoing training, in-services, and continuing education on clinical skills, protocols, equipment, and patient-care standards.
- Serve as a clinical resource to staff during patient care.
- Mentor and coach clinical staff in skill development, critical thinking, and decision-making.
- Support new graduates and clinical residents during onboarding and transition to practice.
- Help implement new clinical guidelines, hospital policies, and evidence-based practices.
- Monitor compliance and provide remediation or education as needed.
- Collaborate with leadership on quality improvement and patient safety projects.
- Analyze performance data and help develop improvement action plans.
- Encourage certifications, advanced degrees, and career growth.
- Keep staff informed about changes in healthcare regulations and trends.
