Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Required
5 years clinical experience Required
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner Georgia State License Upon Hire Required
Registered Respiratory Therapist Upon Hire Required
Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
ACLS Upon Hire Required
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required

Responsibilities
Develops and maintains educational programs for respiratory care staff, and patients.
Acts as affiliate faculty member for schools of respiratory care and cardiopulmonary sciences.
Assesses and measures educational programs for best outcome, efficacy, and competency.
Serves as liaison between Respiratory Care Services and other departments in education and clinical issues.
Oversees the orientation scheduling process and ensures continuity of care.
Provides infection control and safety training as part of the educational programs for staff and monitors compliance.
Facilitates learning and cooperation among staff members.
Assists the department leadership with evaluation and feedback of Respiratory Care personnel.
Maintains awareness of current theoretical and technical developments in respiratory care; serves as an advisor and resource person; provides intensive technical support when needed.
Serves as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the workload as needed.
