About The Position

C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center (Bay Pines VAMC) is seeking multiple Clinical Dietetic Technicians (CDTs) to provide onsite nutrition and food service support in a hospital setting. This is a full-time, onsite position categorized as a Health Technician (Dietetic). The role involves rotating shifts, 7 days a week, including holidays, with shifts from 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Day) and 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM (Evening).

Requirements

• DTR Certification, OR Bachelor’s degree or 24+ semester hours in a nutrition-related field
• Hospital food service experience (tray line, delivery, diet orders)
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets: IDDSI, Renal, Diabetic, Cardiac, MNT
• Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours and lift up to 35 lbs
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Tray assembly and meal delivery
• Diet order processing
• Support therapeutic diet implementation
• Collaborate with clinical staff
• Ensure compliance with VA dietary guidelines
