About The Position
C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center (Bay Pines VAMC) is seeking multiple Clinical Dietetic Technicians (CDTs) to provide onsite nutrition and food service support in a hospital setting. This is a full-time, onsite position within the Health Technician (Dietetic) labor category. The role involves rotating shifts, 7 days a week, including holidays, with specific shifts from 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Day) and 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM (Evening).
Requirements
- DTR Certification, OR Bachelor’s degree or 24+ semester hours in a nutrition-related field
- Hospital food service experience (tray line, delivery, diet orders)
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets: IDDSI, Renal, Diabetic, Cardiac, MNT
- Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours and lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Tray assembly and meal delivery
- Diet order processing
- Support therapeutic diet implementation
- Collaborate with clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with VA dietary guidelines
