About The Position

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating clinical placements for undergraduate nursing students, including scheduling, site assignments, and student group organization. The role serves as the central point of contact for clinical logistics, ensuring accurate communication with faculty, staff, and external clinical partners. The Clinical Coordinator oversees data tracking, documentation, and system accuracy related to placements and compliance requirements. Overall, the position ensures that clinical experiences are organized, efficient, and aligned with program and regulatory expectations to support student progression.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in program coordination, administrative operations, or scheduling in a complex environment. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Three (3) years of experience managing schedules, calendars, or logistics involving multiple stakeholders. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Three (3) years of experience working with databases, tracking systems, or data management processes. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate discipline such Healthcare Administration or Health Services Administration, Public Health, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration or Management, or Organizational Leadership.
  • Two (2) years of experience in higher education, healthcare, or a clinical environment.
  • One (1) year of experience supporting clinical placements, internships, or experiential learning programs.
  • One (1) year of experience working with compliance, accreditation, or regulatory process.
  • One (1) year of experience working with survey tools, reporting, or data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end coordination of clinical placements, including student assignments, scheduling, site placements, and resolving conflicts.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with faculty, staff, and clinical partners to ensure clear, timely communication and alignment on placement logistics and expectations.
  • Maintain accurate data across placement systems, including entry, tracking, reporting, and ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain clinical rosters, monitor cohort progression, and ensure alignment with program requirements.
  • Support administrative aspects of preceptor assignments, including documentation tracking and record maintenance.
  • Ensure clinical placement activities meet internal policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Compile placement-related data, support reporting needs, and identify opportunities to improve coordination processes and operational efficiency.
