About The Position

The Clinic Care Technician supports daily patient flow in a clinic setting. Duties may include greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in patient charts, stocking and cleaning exam rooms, ordering and maintaining clinic supplies, and assisting with clerical work. The position may float to support other areas as assigned. The technician assists providers and clinical staff with administrative and select patient care tasks, supports scheduling and work queues, and performs limited patient care tasks based on training. The role also includes patient identification verification, support for virtual visits, exam chaperoning as needed, administering questionnaires, and documenting in the electronic medical record.

Requirements

Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist providers and clinical staff with administrative and select patient care tasks.
Support patient scheduling and work queue needs as assigned.
Follow up on no-shows and work with providers to review and approve add-ons.
Greet and room patients; support virtual visits and verify patient identification.
Measure height and weight and obtain vital signs.
Chaperone examinations as needed.
Administer questionnaires and document information in the electronic medical record.
Perform limited patient care tasks based on training.
Stock and clean exam rooms and order and maintain clinic supplies.
Process incoming mail; scan, copy, and fax documents; print and update forms; answer internal phone calls; and place office supply orders as needed.
Float to support other areas as assigned.
