About The Position

CarePath Injury Centers is seeking a Clinical Care Assistant for their injury, accident, and pain management practice. This role is open to part-time to full-time candidates, with initial time split between Reading and Allentown offices, transitioning to full-time in Reading, PA. The mission of the center is to deliver best-in-class therapy for those suffering from injuries, accidents, and pain-related conditions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, passionate about helping others, and create a welcoming environment. Responsibilities include working closely with medical professionals, patient check-in, confirmation calls, following up on no-shows, acquiring and uploading paperwork, and other administrative tasks. Effective communication, reliability, and a willingness to learn and adapt are essential. A bachelor's degree in a health-related field and bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (preferred).
  • Ability to learn office operations from front desk to patient clinical care.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems.
  • Ability to learn and operate an EHR (Electronic Health Records System).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with in-office personnel, patients, and other company members.
  • Ability to take and follow direction from supervisors.
  • Must have reliable car transportation and be able to commute to Reading, PA and Allentown, PA.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support the clinical team and learn various aspects of the office.
  • Knowledge of treating patients in the injury and accident space (preferred).
  • Authorization for background check and completion of required documents prior to onboarding.
  • Candidate must reside in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming environment for patients and greet them upon arrival.
  • Maintain knowledge of field concepts and practices.
  • Manage patient check-in and paperwork, check-out, and scheduling within the EHR system.
  • Follow up with patients regarding no-shows or cancellations.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Retrieve patient records.
  • Call for PIP or case status updates.
  • Make detailed notes in the EHR system.
  • Obtain patient records.
  • Follow sanitary protocols.
  • Clean exam rooms and the main office area as needed.
  • Help grow the patient base and practice through exceptional care and service.
  • Communicate effectively with office staff and supervisors.
  • Learn and execute documentation standards for different providers.
  • Learn and execute sterilization protocols and injection prep.
  • Learn how to operate a fluoroscopic c-arm machine.
  • Learn how to oversee patients during in-office rehabilitative exercises.
  • Perform other duties as needed by the office.
