About The Position

Acentra Health is looking for a Part-Time Clinical Business Analyst, Mid to join our growing team. The Clinical Business Analyst is responsible for providing clinical subject matter expertise in deploying and maintaining Acentra Health’s clinical platforms. The Clinical Business Analyst defines the clinical requirements and works with IT to deploy clinical platforms for case management, utilization management, and clinical assessment work at Acentra Health. As a Clinical Subject Matter Expert for Acentra Health’s technology, the BA works across Acentra Health to represent our clinical platforms. Engagement with clients begins with business development activities and continues through implementation as well as ongoing participation in platform development activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Equivalent work experience considered.
Requires 3 – 6 years of experience in a related field
3+ years of experience with systems development life cycle (SDLC)
3+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry

Nice To Haves

Understanding of SharePoint applications, MS Teams, etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with a working knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite of applications
Domain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare verticals
Ability to write clear and concise documentation
Highly organized with analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to adapt to task and project changes
Balances multiple projects under moderate supervision
Ability to handle multiple projects with varying priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Functions as an individual contributor and works under moderate supervision with clearly defined guidelines and direction
Develops documentation related to moderately complex projects and information systems
Applies business analysis knowledge to review and analyze systems problems to identify solutions
Supports team to develop detailed documentation of business requirements and system(s) functionality - use cases, workflow diagrams, and gap analysis to create or modify requirements documents and design specifications
Analyzes user requirements and client business needs using standard procedures
Identifies and manages scope of changes based on client requirements
Supports testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation of information systems
Ensures bi-directional traceability of requirements
Tracks and reports status of work assignments and escalates issues and risks to senior management as required
Engages in solutions development to existing business process problems
Knowledgeable of a function or set of modules
Demonstrates strong knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies, best practices, and procedures; and applies them to projects to ensure that business analysis objectives are achieved
Participates in requirements management and design session activities
Acts as a liaison between the client and the technology teams
Possesses unwavering commitment to customer service and operational excellence
Provides customer support in assisting with the presentation of demos to the client (including facilitating presentations and assisting in presenting small components of the demo)
Keeps abreast of new technology and market developments (including federal regulations)
Requests and gives both negative and positive feedback
Supports technical and business analysis mentoring of Associate Business Analysts
