About The Position

Augsburg University’s Physician Associate Studies Program is hiring a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty member for a renewable three-year special appointment. The 1.0 FTE position combines clinical-phase coordination with didactic teaching and broader program support. At least 0.5 FTE is dedicated to the clinical phase, working alongside the Director of Clinical Education and clinical staff to develop and maintain clinical sites, conduct site visits, advise and coach students, and assess student and site performance. The remaining effort supports the didactic phase and program needs, which may include classroom and skills instruction, accreditation compliance, program assessment, and—if qualified—teaching in the Doctor of Medical Science program. The successful candidate will contribute to an inclusive learning environment and collaborate with an experienced faculty and professional staff team. The role includes instruction, curriculum development and assessment, accreditation-related work, student advising and remediation, committee and admissions participation, and professional engagement. Augsburg University is a diverse urban university in Minneapolis whose mission emphasizes liberal arts and professional education, informed citizenship, thoughtful stewardship, critical thinking, responsible leadership, and intentional diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
