About The Position

The Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing is a 9-month, non-tenure-track position at the University of Arkansas. This role involves teaching graduate and undergraduate nursing courses, providing student advisement and mentoring, and participating in service activities within the department, university, and profession. The position also contributes to maintaining departmental accreditation and engages in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement to ensure the quality and effectiveness of academic programs. Service activities are expected at the departmental, college, and university levels. This is an in-person position requiring on-campus presence for essential functions such as office hours, student advising, collaborative work, and committee meetings to support student success and the university's mission. The role aligns with the University’s 150 Forward priorities, focusing on student success, research excellence, and fostering an employer-of-choice environment. Regular attendance and the ability to maintain positive working relationships are essential.

Requirements

• An earned doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment.
• Commitment to high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Commitment to preparation of effective professionals.
• Eligible to hold an unencumbered RN license with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and secured by the first date of employment.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
