Clinical Apprentice - BCBA Fieldwork Program

Centria Autism•Woodhaven, MI

About The Position

Centria’s Elevate Program is a full-time, paid practicum opportunity for people pursuing BCBA certification. Participants work as a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), providing hands-on ABA therapy to children and families while earning paid restricted and unrestricted fieldwork hours. The program follows a structured three-stage pathway—Emerge, Empower, and Ascend—with defined milestones, clinical competencies, stage-based wage increases, and personalized support. Participants receive regular individual and group supervision from experienced BCBAs, mentorship, and professional development. They gain experience across assessment, intervention, communication, documentation, program design, and ethics, and learn about Practical Functional Assessment, Skills-Based Treatment, assent-based practice, and compassionate, client-led care. Therapy may be provided in home, center, or school settings; the role description also emphasizes collaborative work in an in-center environment. Compensation is $18–$23 base pay, with an additional $2 per hour increase at each program stage, plus full benefits. After certification, program graduates may pursue a BCBA role, with post-certification tuition reimbursement of up to $20,000, career ladders, and internal promotions.
