About The Position

The Clinical Applications Support Analyst - Inpatient role involves gathering, analyzing, designing, developing, modifying, testing, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining clinical information technologies to support clinical practice. This position will use data to support clinical decision-making and identify desired outcomes. The analyst will research, analyze, and make recommendations for application workflow improvements, and create and analyze reports using multiple reporting mechanisms. This role requires a high level of customer service, promoting and participating in a team approach, and possessing strong problem-solving, critical thinking, time management, and prioritization skills. Proficiency in training presentation techniques, verbal and written communication, and Microsoft Office software is essential. A positive attitude and superior customer service skills are expected. The analyst must gain proficiency in assigned Sanford applications and possess basic knowledge of other Sanford applications. Basic knowledge and support of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) philosophies are required in daily work. Adaptability to change, adjusting to new or changing assignments, processes, and people, and identifying alternative approaches to situations or problems are key. A willingness to maintain active knowledge in the area of specialty to stay current with clinical practice and end-user perspectives is also necessary.

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree in a clinical field or at least three years of clinical experience in their specialty preferred.
  • Previous experience in Information Technology is preferred.
  • Depending upon location, be licensed/registered/certified in a clinical field within Sanford’s footprint.
  • Information Technology (IT) certification should be obtained within six months of date of hire.
  • IT certification must be completed within three attempts of certification testing.
  • Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) application certification and truth should be obtained within six months of hire date.
  • Renewal guidelines per discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree in a clinical field or at least three years of clinical experience in their specialty.
  • Previous experience in Information Technology.
