About The Position

The incumbent will be required to follow a hybrid work schedule, working in the office three days per week. Tuesday and Thursday are designated in-office days, with the third in-office day of their choosing. The remaining two days each week may be worked remotely. Please note that this hybrid arrangement is subject to change based on business needs. POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Analyst I supports data-driven decision-making by transforming clinical and operational data into actionable insights. This role performs analysis, modeling, and reporting to inform strategies around outcomes, productivity, cost, staffing, and system integration. In collaboration with leadership, the analyst identifies performance gaps, sets targets, and develops effective measurement tools. The role also contributes to business intelligence development, trains stakeholders on analytic tools, and supports continuous improvement across OSF HealthCare through data interpretation, solution synthesis, and strategic recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a professional licensed healthcare field
  • Two years of clinical experience or two years of data analytics experience
  • Professional license in a healthcare field (Registered Nurse (RN), Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Pharmacist or Speech Therapist)
  • Epic Clarity data model fundamentals training within 90 days of employment and certification within 6 months of employment. Certification must be maintained as a new version of training is released.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex clinical and financial data, address system-level challenges, and deliver concise, actionable reports.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians, operational staff, and leaders while managing risk, ambiguity, and shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Deep knowledge of clinical workflows, quality indicators, and healthcare best practices.
  • Clear communication skills across all levels of the organization, with experience delivering presentations and translating complex data into understandable insights.
  • Proficiency in a variety of analytical and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Epic, Strata).
  • Ability to quickly master new platforms and technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in healthcare related field and/or a specialization in data informatics, data science or a related area
