About The Position

Athens Technical College is seeking a Clinical Adjunct Instructor for Phlebotomy Technology. This role involves contributing to the college's mission and goals, participating in student recruitment and retention, and employing various instructional techniques to evaluate student achievement. The position requires maintaining familiarity with college operations and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Allied Health.
  • Available to instruct and supervise student during the assigned clinical day and/or evening rotation schedule.
  • Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Credentials of those of a phlebotomist and/or a medical technologist.
  • Two (2) years prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain familiarity with college goals, mission, and long-term plans.
  • Contribute to planning and development processes.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention of students in both programs.
  • Attend required staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
  • Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
  • Regularly evaluate student achievement and provide student feedback.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
