About The Position

The Site Supervisor will assist in managing operations for an urgent care clinic by managing staffing, training, supplies, workflow, billing processes and customer service as well as maintaining a safe, positive work environment. This role monitors clinic activity and patient flow to ensure efficient and effective patient care. The supervisor participates in the promotion of a positive culture and teamwork, demonstrating excellence in care in all interactions. They identify opportunities for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and escalate them timely to the appropriate resources. Maintaining a safe and supportive environment by keeping the work area, exam rooms, and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe condition is essential. The Site Supervisor must maintain clinical and administrative skills to meet patient care and daily operational needs, understanding and adhering to legal responsibilities and requirements. This role may require travel to other urgent care facilities or adjusting work hours to meet patient care needs. Performing cross-functional duties such as registration, scheduling, answering phones, cash handling, scribing, and ordering supplies is also part of the role. The supervisor participates in interviews for support staff positions, creates and maintains staff work schedules, and assists in the evaluation of staff behaviors and disciplinary actions. Ensuring employees are adequately trained, and that customer experience is excellent by addressing feedback and monitoring satisfaction metrics are key responsibilities. The Site Supervisor ensures staff compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, and maintains proper inventory and ordering processes. Participation in meetings for regular touch bases and special projects, as well as assisting in problem-solving and implementing operational strategies, are also expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 2 years experience in healthcare setting (required)
  • 1 year experience in supervisory/leadership role (required)
  • BLS Basic Life Support (required within 90 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Maintain current licensure/certification if applicable (MA, ED Tech, ED Tech Advanced) (preferred)
  • Electronic Health Record – EPIC, Docutap or Experity (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clinical and administrative skills to meet patient care and daily operational needs.
  • Understands and adheres to the legal responsibilities and requirements within the role.
  • Open to travel to other urgent care facilities if necessary or adjusting work hours to meet patient care needs as directed by the manager.
  • Performs cross-functional duties as needed, including front desk duties such as registration, scheduling, answering phones, cash handling and other duties such as scribing, ordering of supplies, etc.
  • Participates in interviews for front desk receptionist, medical assistant, x-ray technician and other support staff positions.
  • Creates and maintain staff work schedules and ensure optimal staffing across functional areas within clinic.
  • Assists in evaluation of behaviors and disciplinary action of staff.
  • Ensures employees are adequately trained to perform assigned duties safely and correctly.
  • Ensures excellence in customer experience by addressing customer feedback, monitoring patient satisfaction metrics, and implementing solutions for improvements.
  • Ensures staff compliance with company policies and procedures and state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Maintains proper inventory process and ordering to ensure adequate stock of supplies.
  • Participates in meetings for regular touch base and for special project as needed.
  • Assists in problem solving and implementation of operational strategies under the direction of clinic and market leadership.
