About The Position

This position will primarily work at the brand-new Scandia Clinic Pharmacy, opening in August 2026. They will be the pharmacist in charge, supervising pharmacy operations in Scandia along with providing supervisory support to the Osceola Clinic Pharmacy. The Scandia Clinic Pharmacy will be open Monday-Thursday 9a-7p, Friday 9a-5p, and Saturdays 8a-12p. The Osceola Clinic Pharmacy is open Monday-Thursday 8a-7p, Friday 8a-5p, and Saturday 8:30a-2p.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed (or pursuing licensure) to practice pharmacy in the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
  • BS or PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Computer experience.
  • Must possess mobility to safely work in and move about in the pharmacy setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Reaching out by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Manual dexterity required to manipulate small objects such as a keyboard or counting medication.
  • Strength to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Communication skills using spoken word, both in person and over the phone.
  • Visual ability to read materials in either a printed format or on a computer screen.
  • Ability to hear well enough to carry on a normal conversation, both in person and on the phone.
  • Ability to concentrate and maintain attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years’ retail pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and/or oversees the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications to patients. Makes decisions regarding generic substitution of prescribed pharmaceuticals.
  • Processing prescription medication orders in pharmacy computer system.
  • Counsels patients and/or medical practitioners on drug indications/contraindications, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects; provides other drug and pharmaceutical information as appropriate.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks and check work correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Obtaining refill authorizations from providers.
  • Administer immunizations to patients as requested/ordered.
  • Complete sale of prescriptions and OTC products at register.
  • Replenish supplies needed for department.
  • Adhere to state and federal legal requirements.
  • Prioritizes workload to adhere to budgeted hours.
  • Reports to work on time.
  • Assist in training new staff and provide appropriate feedback as necessary.
  • Maintains open communication with manager.
  • Provides annual self-assessment.
  • Completes required facility education.
  • Maintains licensure, completes required CE.
  • Works independently, addresses issues appropriately in manager’s absence.
  • Completes/makes progress on assigned project work.
  • Knowledgeable and helps develop and maintain policies, procedures, forms, programs and plans for department.
  • Attends staff meetings.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Utilize appropriate communication methods to ensure messages are delivered accurately. Avoid use of email when face-to-face conversation is more appropriate.
