About The Position

Provides direct line management and leadership for all patient care areas. Ensures proper standards are followed for nursing practice and provides interface between the support services and clinical services. This is a first-level management position, typically supervising one or more areas of a department and overseeing the day-to-day activities of two or more professional and/or support staff. While not having direct hiring or firing authority, their input on such actions is highly valued. The role focuses on employee management and may involve coordinating business aspects of a department, including strategy, project management, budget planning, and financial operations. The position is responsible for facilitating care delivery system development and operation, managing daily operations of clinical and clerical employees (including staffing schedules), and developing goals to ensure optimal patient care aligned with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and three years experience or training within specific work area; or an Associate’s degree with one year of experience; or a Bachelor's degree and six months experience.
  • Experience in a medical capacity preferred.
