About The Position
Franklin General Hospital is seeking a compassionate and motivated Clinic Nurse (RN or LPN) to work alongside providers in a friendly, upbeat environment. The nurse will work in the family medicine clinic, with visiting specialists, and with the surgery team. The position offers varied weekdays from week to week and is suited to someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, working independently, and providing a five-star patient experience. New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply. This full-time position is 36 hours per week, with daytime clinic hours and a schedule based on clinic operational needs. The role includes opportunities to work closely with a new clinical provider, contribute to meaningful care for patients across the lifespan, and pursue professional growth in a supportive clinic environment.
Requirements
- Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to learn and effectively use the electronic medical record system.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice To Haves
- Clinic experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide a five-star consumer experience for all patients and families.
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
- Return patient phone calls and assist with patient inquiries.
- Verify prior authorizations for services and procedures.
- Enter and maintain patient information in the IRIS program.
- Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Support clinic operations and perform other nursing duties as needed.
