About The Position
The Clinic Nurse promotes quality and continuity of care by performing patient assessments and education, providing physician assistance, helping coordinate procedures, and communicating effectively to achieve IHS standards for quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of clinic procedures, typically gained through education or on-the-job training.
- Basic knowledge of electronic medical records.
- For hires after June 1, 2012, Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Current Alabama LPN license, or a current Multi State LPN license in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and provide patient education.
- Provide assistance to physicians.
- Assist in coordinating procedures.
- Communicate effectively to support IHS standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.
