About The Position
As a Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide compassionate, high-quality patient care and contribute to patient well-being and recovery. You will deliver individualized care, make assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes. The position is with CHI Health Clinic, which provides primary, specialty, walk-in, and virtual services across more than 20 specialties and 100 locations; some clinics offer extended hours.
Requirements
- Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Successfully completed a Medication Aide 40-hour course or hold current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Perform general patient care according to established clinic workflows.
- Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires, and documenting reasons for visits.
- Collect and prepare ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Prepare and provide ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the role as assigned.
