This role involves both administrative and clinical duties within a healthcare setting. Administrative tasks may include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry into medical records. Clinical duties encompass measuring and recording vital signs, collecting patient demographics and medical information (including medication lists), preparing patients for examinations, cleaning rooms and equipment, and stocking supplies. A key responsibility for both MA III and LPN roles is the administration of medications as ordered. The MA III position requires graduation from or completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, medication administration basics, and a clinical externship. The LPN position requires graduation from a state board accredited practical nursing program.
