About The Position

This position involves performing both administrative and clinical duties within the Family Medical Care Center. The LPN will handle tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry. Clinical responsibilities include measuring vital signs, collecting patient information, preparing patients for examination, maintaining cleanliness of rooms and equipment, stocking supplies, and administering medications as ordered by a physician. The MA III role also includes administrative duties like phone answering, appointment scheduling, and data entry, along with clinical duties such as taking vital signs, gathering patient data, preparing patients for exams, cleaning, stocking, and administering medications under supervision. The role requires performing specific competencies as directed by the department.

Requirements

  • LPN: Graduate of a state board accredited practical nursing program.
  • LPN: Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri.
  • MA: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • MA (effective 9/1/20): Graduated from or Completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship.
  • MA: Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficient Computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • LPN: Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting.
  • LPN: IV certification in State of Missouri.
  • MA: Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people.
  • MA: Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting.

Responsibilities
