About The Position

CoxHealth is seeking a Clinic LPN/MA III for their Family Medicine department in Branson, Missouri. This role involves both administrative and clinical duties. Administrative tasks include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry. Clinical duties encompass measuring vital signs, collecting patient information, preparing patients for examination, maintaining clean rooms and equipment, stocking supplies, and administering medications as ordered by a physician. The position also requires performing specific competencies as directed by the department. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Graduated from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship.
  • 1 year primary care experience
  • Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP.
  • Graduate of an state board accredited practical nursing program
  • Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Carry out delegated tasks under supervision of a provider.
  • Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversite.
  • Proficient Computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people
  • Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting
  • Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting
  • IV certification in State of Missouri

Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative duties that include, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records.
  • Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics and medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies.
  • This position will involve the administration of medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Performs specific competencies as directed by the department.
